Materials Needed
- Sport yarn (5ply) (color: white, 2shades of pink, green, yellow)
- 2.5mm hook
- stuffing material
- stitch marker, darning needle, scissor
Crochet Abbreviations
Abbreviations are in US terminology.
- mr – magic ring
- ch – chain
- st – stitch
- R – round / row
- sc – single crochet
- inc – increase
- dec – decrease
- hdc – half double crochet
- dc –double crochet
- slst – slip stitch
- * – repeat
- [ ] – total stitch count in each round

Body
Start with white yarn and 2.5mm hook.
Start with a magic ring.
R1 6sc into mr [6]
R2 6inc [12]
R3 (1sc, 1inc)*6 [18]
R4 (1sc, 1inc, 1sc)*6 [24]
R5 (3sc, 1inc)*6 [30]
R6 (2sc, 1inc, 2sc)*6 [36]

R8-R17 1sc in each stitch (10 rounds) [42]

- Cut the yarn. We’ll start again from a new beginning on R14!
- Count the 20th stitch from the last sc of R14, which is our new beginning for R15. Starting from that stitch, crochet in a clockwise direction. Watch this part for a more detailed explanation.
R15 1ch and 1sc (in the same stitch), 19sc, 12ch, insert you hook into the 1st sc of the other part to join, 18sc [50]

- Place the “body” (that you have just made) inside the hood and continue the following rounds.

- Close the hood, weave in the ends, and cut the yarn.
Bordering the Square Face
- Insert your hook into the 6th stitch at the bottom and make 6sc on the upper sides of the chains.
- Skip the corner stitch and move to the left side, make 2sc, 1dec, 2sc along the left side.
- Skip corner stitch, crochet onto the 10sc on the upper side, make 4sc, 1dec, 4sc
- Skip corner stitch, move to the right side, make 2sc, 1dec, 2sc skip corner stitch, make 6sc on the remaining chains of the bottom part.

Arms
- Count the 3rd stitch from each side of the opening square face; insert your hook there.
- Bring the white yarn.
4ch, 2nd ch: 1sc, 2hdc, 1slst (onto the hood), 1ch.
- Cut the yarn and weave in the ends.
- Make second arm on the other side just like this!

Feet
- Count the 10th stitch from the lower piece of the face; insert your hook there.
- Bring the white yarn.
3ch, 1sc, 1hdc, 1slst (onto the hood), 1ch and cut the yarn.
- Make the second foot 1 stitch apart from the first one.

Leaf
- Start with green yarn.
- Make a magic ring.
(5ch, 1sc, 2hdc, 1dc, and 1sc into mr)*5
- Pull the yarn tightly. Make 1ch and cut the yarn.

Cinnamoroll Ears
- Start with the white yarn and a magic ring.
R1 7sc in mr [7]
R2 7inc [14]
R3 (1sc, 1inc)*7 [21]
R4-R7 1sc in each stitch (4 rounds) [21]
R8 (5sc, 1dec)*3 [18]
R9 1sc in each stitch [18]

Hello Kitty Ears
- Start with white yarn and a magic ring.
R1 5sc in mr [5]
R2 5inc [10]
R3 1sc in each stitch [10]

Hello Kitty Bow
- Start with pink yarn, a magic ring.
in mr, (3ch, 3dc, 3ch, 1slst)*2
- Pull the yarn tightly, and cut the yarn.

Making the Face
- Embroider the eyes using a black yarn (for Hello Kitty), light blue yarn (for Cinnamonroll). Separate it into 3 strands to make the eyes. If you prefer, you can use plastic eyes, too.
- Embroider the eyes in the middle of the face: 6sc apart between two eyes.
- Use 2 strands for the mouth; embroider it in the middle, 1 round under the eyes.
- Embroider 3 whiskers for Hellokitty on each side of the cheeks.
- Sew the ears on the head. You can see how to sew pieces together here.
- Embroider strawberry dots on the body, using white or yellow yarns.
