I’m so excited to share this super adorable kittens with headphone pattern with you! Grab your hooks, yarn, and let’s dive right into it. Let’s Get Hooked!
Materials Needed
- Cotton, Acrylic or Sports yarn (5ply, Yarn weight: 2) in Beige, and Brown (or in any color combination that you like) and Blue
- 2.5mm or 3mm crochet hook
- Stuffing material
- Darning needle, glue, scissors
- Black and White yarn or threads to embroider the face details
Crochet Abbreviations
Abbreviations are in US terminology.
- Ch – Chain
- mr – magic ring
- st – stitch
- R – round / row
- sc – single crochet
- inc – increase
- dec – decrease
- slst – slip stitch
- BLO – back loop only
- *- repeat
- [] – total stitch count in each round

Ears
R1 6sc [6]
R2 6inc [12]
R3 1sc in each stitch [12]
- Make 2 ears. Cut the yarn after making the first ear. DO NOT cut the yarn after making the second ear.
Connecting the Ears and Continuing the Head
- Make 3ch and connect to the last stitch of the first ear by making 1sc, which will be the first sc of our new round!

R4 12sc (on first ear), 3sc on ch, 12sc (on second ear), 3sc on ch [30]
R5 1sc in each stitch [30]
R6 (4sc, 1inc) *6 [36]
R7 1sc in each stitch [36]
R8 (5sc, 1inc) *6 [42]
Color change will start in R9!

R9 Beige 14sc, Brown 8sc, Beige 20sc [42]
R10-R12 Beige 13sc, Brown 10sc, Beige 19sc (3 rounds) [42]
R13 Beige 14sc, Brown 8sc, Beige 20sc [42]
No more color change starting from R14, so we’ll continue with our main color (in this case, Beige)
R14 1sc in each stitch [42]
R15 (5sc, 1dec) *6 [36]
R16 (4sc, 1dec) *6 [30]
R17 (3sc, 1dec) *6 [24]
Start Stuffing the head and continue stuffing after each following rounds!
R18 (2sc, 1dec) *6 [18]
R19 (1sc, 1dec) *6 [12]
R20 6dec [6]
- Cut the yarn and close the head.

Headphones
- Start with a magic ring!
- Connect with a slst at the end of a round and start a new round with ch1.
- slst and ch1 are NOT included in our total stitch count.
R1 7sc in mr, 1slst (into the first sc) [7]
R2 Ch1, 7inc, 1slst (into the first sc) [14]
- Make 2 pieces and cut the yarn leaving a long tail after the first piece, DO NOT cut the yarn after the second one.
- After making second piece, Ch23 and connect to the first piece with a slst, after that go back to the second piece by making 23 slst across the chains we made.
- Cut the yarn and sew the headphones onto each ear of the head.

Making the Face
- Embroider the eyes on R11 of the head with 4sc apart between two eyes.
- Embroider the white yarn around half of the eyes to make the eyes look cuter and lively.
- Embroider the nose in the middle of the eyes in a ” T ” shape.
- Embroider two whiskers on both cheeks on R11 & R12.
