Materials Needed
- Milk cotton (5ply) in pink & white (50g) for each color, some brown & green yarn for details
- 3mm crochet hook
- stuffing materials
- darning needle, glue, scissors, pink blusher
Crochet Abbreviations
Abbreviations are in US terminology.
- Ch – Chain
- mr – magic ring
- st – stitch
- R – round / row
- sc – single crochet
- inc – increase
- dec – decrease
- dc – double crochet
- hdc – half double crochet
- slst – slip stitch
- FLO – front loops only
- BLO – back loops only
- Bob st – bobble stitch
- * – repeat
- [] – total stitch count in each round

Cap
Start with magic ring using pink yarn.
R1 7sc in mr [7]
R2 7inc [14]
R3 (1sc, 1inc)*7 [21]
R4 1sc in each st [21]
R5 (2sc, 1inc)*7 [28]
R6 1 sc in each st [28]
R7 (3sc, 1inc)*7 [35]
R8 1 sc in each st [35]
R9 (2sc, 1inc, 2sc)*7 [42]
R10 (5sc, 1inc)*7 [49]
R11 (6sc, 1inc)*7 [56]
DO NOT cut the yarn!
White Stem (Body)
Start with magic ring using white yarn.
R1 7sc in mr [7]
R2 7inc [14]
R3 (1sc, 1inc)*7 [21]
R4 (2sc, 1inc)*7 [28]
R5 7sc, (1Bob st), 10sc, (1Bob st), 9sc [28]

R6 (3sc, 1inc)*7 [35]
R7 (2sc, 1inc, 2sc)*7 [42]
R8-R10 1sc in each st (3rounds) [42]
R11 (4sc, 1dec)*7 [35]
R12 BLO 1sc in each st [35]
R13 (3sc, 1dec)*7 [28]
R14-R16 1sc in each st (3rounds) [28]
Start stuffing the body nice and tight for a chubby shape.
R17 (1dc, ch1)*28 [28dc]
R18 (1dc, 1dc into ch1 space)*28 [56]
- Cut the yarn.
- Then go back to R12 where we did BLO. We will add the Ring to our mushroom!
- Insert your hook into first front loop of R12, attach white yarn and make ch1 first.
Make (1sc, ch1) into each Front loop of R12. End with a slst into the first st.

- Cut the yarn and weave in all the ends.
Embroidering the Face
- Use thin brown yarn for this.
- Mark with pins on R14 of the body with 4st apart and embroider the eyes, then the mouth in the middle. Add the whiskers.

Hands
- Hands are crocheted aligned vertically above the legs.
- For right hand, insert your hook into 2 rounds above the legs from below and attach with white yarn.
- Ch4, 1sc into second ch from the hook, 2hdc, skip one round and end with a slst into another round.
- For left hand, insert your hook from above into R10.
- Ch4, 1sc into second ch from the hook, 2hdc, skip one round and end with a slst into another round.
- Cut the yarn and weave in the ends.

Connecting the Body and the Cap
- Place the ends of the body and the cap together.
- We are connecting the two pieces by crocheting the opposite st together from the body side.
- Through the last st of the body, pull the yarn loop of the cap.
- Ch1 and sc into opposite st all the way until the end. You’ll get a total of 56sc.
- Stuff the cap as you go.
- Cut the yarn and weave in the ends.

White Spots
- Make 5 magic circles of different sizes by doing sc in mr.
- slst to the first sc at the end for perfect circle.
6sc in mr (Make 2)
7sc in mr
8sc in mr
10sc in mr
- You can either sew or glue them onto the Cap.
- Also embroider some French knots.
Leaf
Start with the slip knot using green yarn.
First leaf
Ch5, from second ch from hook, 1sc, 1dc, 1hdc, (1sc, ch1, 1sc) into the last st, Going back to the lower parts of the ch, 1hdc, 1dc, 1sc, 1slst into the first sc. Continue to the second leaf without cutting the yarn.
Second leaf
Ch5, from third ch from hook, 1hdc, 1dc, 1sc, slst to 1st sc of first leaf. Continue to the stalk without cutting the yarn.
Stalk
Ch10, 9slst.

Clover
Start with a magic ring.
(ch2, 2dc, ch2, 1slst)*4 into mr, ch10 and 9slst (for stalk).

- You can either sew or glue the leaves or clover by placing the stalk under the little hand.
- Put some blush under the eyes and the nose for the final touch.
