Materials Needed
- Cotton/acrylic or sports yarn (5ply) in Pink, Hot pink, Gray, Purple, Blue, Dark blue,
- Green, Aqua, Dark brown, Orange, White
- 3mm crochet hook
- Stuffing Materials
- 5mm eyes
- White felt cloth
- Darning needle, scissors, glue
Crochet Abbreviations
Abbreviations are in US terminology.
Ch – Chain
mr – magic ring
st – stitch
R – round / row
sc – single crochet
inc – increase
dec – decrease
hdc – half double crochet
slst – slip stitch
BLO – back loops only
FLO – front loops only
Bob – Bobble stitch
*- repeat
[] – total stitch count in each round
Do not miss out any details! Open this video as you crochet along to make the process more effective and time-saving.
Important to read before getting started!
- We use Joined rounds for all the body bases of these characters. At the end of every round, make a slip stitch (slst) into the first single crochet (sc) of that round.
- Begin each new round with a chain 1 (Ch 1). The first single crochet (sc) of the new round should be made in the same stitch where you just made the slip stitch (the first sc of the previous round).
- slst and Ch1 are NOT included in our total stitch count.
Embarrassment
The color palette for Embarrassment includes purple, hot pink, gray, and pink.
Body
Start with purple yarn.
Start with a magic ring.

R1 8sc in mr, 1slst (into the first sc) [8]
R2 Ch1, 8inc, 1slst (into the first sc) [16]
R3 Ch1, (3sc, 3sc in 1st)*4, 1slst (into the first sc) [24]
R4 Ch1, 4sc, 3sc in one stitch, (5sc, 3sc in 1st)*3, 1sc, 1slst (into the first sc) [32]
R5-R6 Ch1, 1sc in each stitch, 1slst (into the first sc) (2 rounds) [32]
Cut the yarn and we will use Gray yarn for the next round, R7.
Make a slip knot with gray yarn and Ch 34.
- Starting from the 3rd ch from the hook, make sc in the ch and into FLO of R6 at the same time. This would be our 1st sc for R7 and continue making sc for R7 following the same process.
- This way, we make the hem of the hoodie of Embarrassment!

R7 Gray In FLO, 1sc in each stitch, 1slst (into the first sc) [32]

In R9, we’ll be adding little hands with a Bob st and will change to Pink color for those
parts!

Adding the pocket
- Insert the hook into FLO of first sc in R8 and bring the gray yarn.
R1 1sc in each FLO [6]

Hood
Start with gray yarn.
Start with a slip knot.
Make Ch10.
R1 7hdc (starting from the 3rd ch from the hook), 7hdc, (5hdc in 1ch), 7hdc [19]
R2 Ch2, Turn, 8hdc, 3hdc inc, 8hdc [22]
R3 Ch2, Turn, 1hdc in each stitch [22]
R4 Ch2, Turn, 2hdc, (2hdc, 1hdc inc)*6, 2hdc [28]
R5 Ch2, Turn, 1hdc in each stitch [28]
R6 Ch2, Turn, 4hdc, (3hdc, 1hdc dec)*4, 4hdc [24]
- Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail.

- Using the darning needle, sew the hood on the FLO of R10 in the body, starting behind the left hand and ending behind the right hand (leaving Bob stitches and sc in between).

Nose
Start with pink yarn.
Start with a slip knot.
Make Ch5.
R1 1inc (in the 2nd ch from the hook), 2sc, (4sc in the last ch), 2sc, 1inc, 1slst (into the first sc) [12]
R2 Ch1, (5sc, 1inc)*2, 1slst (into the first sc) [14]
R3 Ch1, 1sc in each stitch, 1slst (into the first sc) [14]

Hair Wig
Start with hot pink yarn.
Start with a magic ring.
R1 8sc in mr [8]
R2 8inc [16]
R3 (1sc, 1inc)*8 [24]
Starting from R4, we are going to turn the piece at the end and crochet in rows.
R4 Ch1, Turn, 1sc in each stitch (leaving the remaining 6sc) [18]
R5 Ch1, Turn, (2sc, 1inc)*6 [24]
- Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail.
Continue making the hair strands.
- Insert the hook into the rightmost stitch of R3 and bring the hot pink yarn.
S1 Ch4, 1slst (into the 2nd ch from the hook), 2sc, 1slst (into the next sc)
S2 Ch3, 1slst (into the 2nd ch from the hook), 1sc, 1slst (into the next sc)

Eyes
- Separate the black yarn into 3 strands.
- Using the darning needle, embroider the eyes of 1 stitch height on R14 on each side of the nose.

Anxiety
The color palette for Anxiety includes orange, white, and dark brown.
Body
Start with dark brown yarn.
Start with a magic ring.
R1 8sc in mr, 1slst (into the first sc) [8]
R2 Ch1, 8inc, 1slst (into the first sc) [16]
R3 Ch1, (3sc, 3sc in 1st)*4, 1slst (into the first sc) [24]
R4 Ch1, 4sc, 3sc in one stitch, (5sc, 3sc in 1st)*3, 1sc, 1slst (into the first sc) [32]
R5-R7 Ch1, 1sc in each stitch, 1slst (into the first sc) (3 rounds) [32]
Color change will start in R8!
In R8 & R9, White and Orange colors will be used for making the horizontal stripes of Anxiety’s dress.
R8 White, Ch1, in BLO, 1sc in each stitch, Orange 1slst (into the first sc) [32]
R9 Orange, Ch1, 1sc in each stitch, White 1slst (into the first sc) [32]
In R10, we’ll be adding little hands with a Bob st and will change to Orange color for those
parts!
R10 White Ch1, 5sc, Orange Bob st, White 6sc, Orange Bob st, White 19sc, Orange 1slst (into the first sc) [32]
Change to Orange yarn at the end of R9, and from R10 and onwards, we will only use Orange.
R11 Ch1, in BLO, (6sc, 1dec)*4, 1slst (into the first sc) [28]
R12-R13 Ch1, 5sc, (In BLO, 7sc), 16sc, 1slst (into the first sc) (2 rounds) [28]
R14 Ch1, 1sc into each stitch, 1slst (into the first sc) [28]
R15 Ch1, (2sc, 1dec)*7, 1slst (into the first sc) [21]
Start stuffing and continue stuffing after each following rounds!
R16 Ch1, (1sc, 1dec)*7, 1slst (into the first sc) [14]

- Cut the yarn and close the hole.
Adding the mouth
- We will crochet the mouth directly onto the head.
- Insert the hook into the 4th FLO of R12 and bring the orange yarn.
R1 Ch1, 3sc, 1inc, (switch to R13) 6sc, 1inc, (back to R12) 3sc, 1slst (into the first sc) [16]
R2 Ch1, 1sc in each stitch, 1slst (into the first sc) [16]
R3 Ch1, (6sc, 1dec)*2, 1slst (into the first sc) [14]
R4 Ch1, 1sc in each stitch, 1slst (into the first sc) [14]
- Cut the yarn and weave in the end.
- Fold it outwards to get the shape of the mouth.

- From the white felt cloth, cut three tiny teeth shape.
- Glue them into the mouth.
Hair
- Cut the orange yarn according to your desired length and quantity to make hair strands.
- We will attach them one by one on top of the head to make a cluster of hair.
- Insert the hook on top of the head, take a hair strand, pull it through the stitch, adjust the two ends of the strand, and bring them through the created loop.
- Repeat the same process until you get the hair amount you want.
- Using the same orange color, wrap the yarn around the roots of the hair around 3-4 times and make a tie (This is optional. You can skip this step if you want.)
- Using the darning needle, put the ends into the hair cluster and comb the hair cluster to get messy and thinner hair strands.
- Cut the ends to make the hair shorter.

Eyes
Start with white yarn.
Start with a magic ring.
- Make 8sc in mr and cut the yarn, leaving a long tail.
- Weave in the ends and Cut the yarn.
- Glue the eye appliques onto the top of the mouth.

- Glue the 5mm eyes onto the white eye appliques.
Ennui
The color palette for Ennui (Boredom) includes blue and dark blue.
Body
Start with dark blue yarn.
Start with a magic ring.
R1 8sc in mr, 1slst (into the first sc) [8]
R2 Ch1, 8inc, 1slst (into the first sc) [16]
R3 Ch1, (3sc, 3sc in 1st)*4, 1slst (into the first sc) [24]
R4 Ch1, 4sc, 3sc in one stitch, (5sc, 3sc in 1st)*3, 1sc, 1slst (into the first sc) [32]
R5-R7 Ch1, 1sc in each stitch, 1slst (into the first sc) (3 rounds) [32]
Color change will start in R8!
Make a slip knot with blue yarn and Ch 33.
- Cut the yarn and go back to the body.
- With dark blue yarn, make Ch1, sc in the 2nd ch from the hook and into FLO of 1st sc in R7 at the same time. This would be our 1st sc for R8.
- Continue making sc for R7 following the same process.
R8 Dark blue Ch1, in FLO, 1sc in each stitch, 1slst (into the first sc) [32]
In R9, we’ll be adding little hands with a Bob st and will change to Blue color for those parts!
R9 Dark blue Ch1, 5sc, Blue Bob st, Dark blue 6sc, Blue Bob st, Dark blue 19sc, Blue 1slst (into the first sc) [32]
Change to Blue yarn at the end of R9, and from R10 and onwards, we will only use Blue.

Continue making the hair bang.
- Insert the hook into the rightmost stitch of R3 and bring the dark blue yarn.

R2 Ch1, Turn, 1inc, 4sc, 1inc [8]
- Ch1 and cut the yarn.

- Weave in the ends.
- Glue the hair wig onto the head since we want it to be a bit loose (You can also sew here if you want).
- Don’t forget to glue the root of the hair bang, too.

Eyes
- Separate the black yarn into 3 strands.
- Using the darning needle, embroider the eyes of 1 stitch height on R12 of the body with 4sc apart.
Envy
The color palette for Envy includes green, aqua, and purple.
Body
Start with green yarn.
Start with a magic ring.
R1 8sc in mr, 1slst (into the first sc) [8]
R2 Ch1, 8inc, 1slst (into the first sc) [16]
R3 Ch1, (3sc, 3sc in 1st)*4, 1slst (into the first sc) [24]
R4 Ch1, 4sc, 3sc in one stitch, (5sc, 3sc in 1st)*3, 1sc, 1slst (into the first sc) [32]
R5-R8 Ch1, 1sc in each stitch, 1slst (into the first sc) (3 rounds) [32]
Color change will start in R9!
In R9, we’ll be making dress for Envy with Purple yarn, adding little hands with a Bob st using Green yarn.
R9 Purple Ch1, in BLO, 5sc, Green Bob st, Purple 6sc, Green Bob st, Purple 19sc, Green 1slst (into the first sc) [32]
Change to Green yarn at the end of R9, and from R10 and onwards, we will only use Green.
R10 Ch1, in BLO, (6sc, 1dec)*4, 1slst (into the first sc) [28]

- Cut the yarn and close the hole.
- To make the little skirt, turn the body piece upside down (with the last round facing down).
- Insert the hook into the FLO in the middle sc of R9 and bring the purple yarn.
Dress
R1 Ch1, 1sc in each stitch (including the slst from R9) , 1slst (into the first sc) [33]
R2 Ch1, 1hdc in each stitch, 1slst (into the first hdc) [33]
- Ch1 and cut the yarn.
- Using the darning needle, weave in the ends.
Decorating the dress.
- Cut tiny circles from the white felt cloth.
- Glue them onto the dress.

Hair Wig
Start with blue yarn.
Start with a magic ring.
R1 8sc in mr [8]
R2 8inc [16]
R3 (1sc, 1inc)*8 [24]
Starting from R4, we are going to turn the piece at the end and crochet in rows.
R4 Ch1, Turn, 1sc in each stitch (leaving the remaining 6sc) [18]
R5 Ch1, Turn, (2sc, 1inc)*6 [24]
R6-R7 Ch1, Turn, 1sc in each stitch (2 rounds) [24]
R8 Ch1, Turn, (3sc, 1inc)*6 [30]

- Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail.
Continue making the hair strands.
- Insert the hook into the middle of the six sc we left in R3 from behind the sc into the next round and bring the blue yarn.
S1-S2 9ch, 1sc (into the 2nd ch from the hook), 7hdc, 1slst (into the round of the wig) (2 strands) [8]
- Cut the yarn.

Hair Clips
- With the hot pink yarn, make two tiny hair clips for each of the hair strands using the darning needle.

Eyes
- Separate the black yarn into 3 strands.
- Using the darning needle, embroider the eyes of 1 stitch height on R12 of the body with 4sc apart.
- Separate the orange yarn into 2 strands for a tiny blush under the eyes.
- Insert the needle into the next stitch from the eye and sew a horizontal line of 1 stitch width.
